Introducing Molly Love – Registered Nutritionist & Gut Health Coach at Organics.com

Meet Molly Love, our Registered Nutritionist and passionate gut health specialist here at Organics.com. With a special focus on nutritional gut health and the gut–brain connection, Molly draws on both her professional expertise and personal experience of overcoming Crohn’s disease to help others reclaim their wellbeing.

As the Nutritional Gut Love Coach at Organics.com, she takes a holistic, personalised approach to gut healing, blending evidence-based nutrition, mindful eating, and lifestyle support to guide clients toward lasting digestive wellness and balance. Through her work, Molly aims to make gut health accessible, empowering, and full of self-love, one meal, one mindful moment, and one healthy habit at a time.

1. What led you to specialise in gut health and become the “Nutritional Gut Love Coach”?

My journey into nutrition started after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at university. I spent years learning about gut health through trial and error, and eventually worked with a nutritionist who helped me get into remission. That experience completely changed my life, and inspired me to retrain so I could help others do the same. Now, as a nutritionist, I specialise in gut health and the gut–brain connection. I truly believe that whatever the health concern, it always starts with the gut.

2. How would you describe your approach to gut health and nutrition in one sentence?

I take a holistic, personalised approach to gut health, using food as medicine, mindful eating, and lifestyle shifts to uncover root causes and create lasting change.

3. In your own words, what does “gut health” really mean, and why is it so important for overall wellbeing?

Gut health involves every aspect of digestive wellbeing, from the breakdown and absorption of nutrients to the balance of gut bacteria, and the integrity of the gut lining. I take a holistic approach that looks at both what and how you eat, alongside tailored supplement support and ongoing work on the gut–brain connection.

4. What’s one core principle or philosophy you live by that influences how you guide others on their gut health journey?

From my own experience and practice, I’ve seen that the nervous system is the foundation of lasting gut health; without supporting it, even the best nutrition and supplement routine can unravel. I’m really interested in ideas like The Body Keep the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk, which discusses the idea of trauma and our life experiences being stored in the body.

5. Do you have a favourite gut-loving ritual, meal, or self-care practice that you swear by?

I know we’re all busy, but slowing down to eat, away from screens and stress, can do wonders for digestion. I often suggest clients create a little digestive ritual for themselves: take a breath, connect with your food, and give your body a moment to prepare. Another thing I often notice is that many women eat lots of raw foods and big salads. They’re full of nutrients, but can be tough on digestion. Switching the focus to gently cooked meals can really help take the pressure off a stressed system.

6. What are your non-negotiables when it comes to your own daily nutrition or self-care routine?

My daily habits are: hydration before caffeine, protein and healthy fats at every meal (especially breakfast), daily walks (even when the weather turns) and magnesium before bed. I also try to leave my phone downstairs overnight which I manage most of the time!

7. What’s a small daily habit that can make a big difference to someone’s gut health and energy levels?

I think it’s best to start small and stay consistent, simple daily habits can make a huge difference to digestion and energy over time. Nailing breakfast with a good balance of protein, fats and fibre helps keep energy stable throughout the day, and it’s always easier to make better choices when you start the day well. Aim for around two litres of water, and try switching off your phone an hour before bed. These small changes add up, and once they’re in place, you can keep stacking more healthy habits on top.

8. If someone is just beginning their gut health journey, what’s one piece of advice you’d give them?

Starting a gut healig journey can feel overwhelming, there’s so much information out there that it can be hard to know where to focus. My advice is to work with a nutritionist or coach if you can, so you get personalised guidance and support to stay on track. If that’s not possible, choose one approach that really resonates with you and stick with it for 3–6 months. Gut healing often takes longer than you expect, but consistency really pays off.

9. What inspired you to start sharing your Gut Love philosophy with the Organics.com community?

I’ve always loved the sense of community at Organics.com and wanted to be part of it. Connecting with people both online and at in-person events has been such a positive experience. My aim is to empower others to take charge of their own health, and sharing what I’ve learned is a way to help support that.

10. How do you personally nurture balance between your work, self-care, and supporting others in their wellness journey?

It can definitely be tricky to get the work-life balance right, but planning is key for me. I try to be my own wellness coach and make sure I have the right food in the fridge at the start of the week and book in Pilates classes or walks with friends, especially after a long day of consultations. I’m also trying to focus on activities that have nothing to do with work or hustle culture, like a weekly art class I’ve recently joined that’s all about the process rather than the outcome. I’d love to make more space for things like this
