We make our zero-waste cinnamint tooth powder fresh, in small batches, and it's jam-packed with natural, effective ingredients that have been shown to help strengthen and remineralise teeth, polish and whiten, freshen breath, and soothe gums.
If you're new to natural tooth powders, you may find the experience unusual at first (particularly the absence of foaming agents and synthetic mint flavouring found in many toothpaste brands)...but the powerfully clean and fresh feeling you experience after use is a revelation!
Choose from two packaging options: A reusable tin; or a compostable refill sachet (both contain 50g of tooth powder).
As with all of our handmade cosmetics, the tooth powder is PETA certified vegan and cruelty free, and lab safety tested.
Ingredients
Bentonite clay: Binds to impurities and toxins around your teeth and gums (which are removed when you spit!), but it also gives back in the form of tooth-strengthening minerals such as silica, calcium and magnesium. And that's not all...the clay helps promote alkaline balance, which is especially important for dealing with the damaging effect of acidic food and drink on tooth enamel. Finally, the clay also helps to naturally whiten teeth.
Calcium: Supports healthy tooth enamel and promotes whitening.
Baking soda: Naturally and gently polishes your teeth for a whiter smile.
Sage: The use of sage in oral care dates back to the Middle Ages, helping to freshen breath as well as soothe sore sums with its anti-inflammatory properties.*
Xylitol: A natural, plant-based sweetener that helps promote a neutral pH level in the mouth, and prevents bacteria from sticking to the teeth.
Cinnamon: Not only does it taste great, cinnamon is also antibacterial and helps to discourage bacterial growth.
Pink Himalayan Salt: Gently polishes teeth, builds up a pH neutral mouth flora which helps protect your tooth enamel, and contains trace minerals that support oral health.
Peppermint essential oil: A pleasant and subtle minty taste, and soothes the gums.
*Allergy warning: Sage powder is produced in a mill that handles wheat, gluten, nuts, mustard, sesame seeds and soya.

How To
Dip your toothbrush into the pot and coat the bristles, before brushing as normal. Alternatively you can sprinkle a little powder into the palm of your hand and dip your toothbrush into the powder. Unlike commercial toothpaste, this toothpowder will not foam up. This can feel odd at first, but you quickly get used to it! Rinse well after you have finished brushing.
